  • Summary: Push button locks!
  • Comment: Before I ordered I read the review, and the only consistent negative thing was the button. People were saying that you had to hold the button down while you talk and that they were getting sore fingers... Mine locks in place on or off, I think this is a fantastic product for the price. So just to make it clear YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HOLD THE BUTTON, it locks in place.

  • Summary: Great for price
  • Comment: It picks up my voice from a decent distance, I'm surprised. But there is a problem created by that. I built my own computer and put new faster fans inside it which in turn makes it louder, so people complain that there's a loud hum in the background(that's obviously from the fans). This wouldn't be there likely if I didn't require mic boost for people to hear me, though it does work if my mouth is against it talking without the boost(using skype call testing). The odd thing is that I don't hear this hum at all when I use the skype call testing service, so it must be something about ventrilo. For $6.50 I'm not disappointed, but I do wish there were better mics out there without jumping to the hundreds for a price tag, heck if this company made a 20 or 30 dollar mic I'm sure it would destroy all. Feels very sturdy, and my friend did tell me the sound quality was great just the hum was annoying.

  • Summary: Remember that button!
  • Comment: its a good mic! if you're looking for something on the desk and all it is very cheap. But Remember there is a button on the base of the mic that will turn on or off the microphone, you DO NOT have to hold it. it can be handy in-case you need to really mute that mic fast!
