- Summary: Not as good as a Sound Blaster
- Comment: In my Dell, this sound card had too much floor noise for recording. I upgraded to a sound blaster and got a -95db.

- Summary: INEXPENSIVE AND WORKS!
- Comment: I just remodeled my compter room into a computer/media/studio. I was looking for an audio card with a fiber optic output to feed my Harman Kardon AVR146 receiver. I found it with this Turtle Beach Rivera 5.1. Excellent sound quality, inexpensive, and gets the job done.

- Summary: Waste of Money
- Comment: This is my first review of a product I've ever written. I usually do my research up front, make my choice and in most all cases am happy with it. This is not the case here. I would concider myself an audiophile and was unable to find a card that offered good 2 channel sound without all the bells and whistles I didn't need. And I was tired of the bloated buggy Creative Labs software. Had used Creative in the past with Cambridge Audio speakers with acceptable results. Upgraded to Windows 7 and the Creative drivers would not load so I replaced it with the Turle Beach card. Thought the cost the technology had driven costs down and for stereo would be acceptable. I was wrong !!! In a simple 2 channel setup you can hear a phase shift between the speakers, dull high end, weak bass, an absolute disappointment for such a simple request.
Even though I am lover of good sound even an untrained ear can hear the terrible performance this card purduces. Do not buy this card !!!
After much research I have found that Asus manufactures that is a sound worth of audiophile status for around $200.00. Needless to say, I placed my order today.

- Summary: piano
- Comment: Inexpensive card; however, it worked well for my purposes. Piano recordings of my granddaughter were very poor with the onboard audio chipset. This card restored the the music
Windows7 found the card and loaded the software flawlessly.
Item was purchased from Amazon and was shipped immediately; unlike the last items ordered from a Amazon supplier which is being shipped by "pony express".

- Summary: Don't use in an XPS 400!
- Comment: Just a warning if you're purchasing this for a Dell XPS 400...don't do it. It gave me a bunch of problems that I could never resolve. I work in IT, I even have a side business to repair other people's PC's, and I had nothing but problems with this in my Dell XPS 400 w/Windows 7 Premium.
