  • Comment: This adapter works fine, but I apparently didn't pay attention to the length and find that this one is about a foot or two shorter (or more?) than the adapter that came with my computer. The battery has died in my computer, so I have to plug it in for it to work, and it's a pain having the cord stretched across the room, straining to reach what used to be no problem with the old adapter that sporadically gave out on me.

  • Comment: I ordered this adapter after my dell computer charger stopped working. The length of the chord was very short, so I found myself having to sit closer to where it connects to the wall. Probably the thing I hated most about it, is that now, after 3 weeks, it stopped working proberly. It started getting really hot when connected to the wall, and has potentially become a safety hazard in the house. I would not buy this product again, and would recommend others buy a product with a longer chord and better build quality.

  • Comment: So far this product has worked as advertised. I have burnt out two other Dell power sources and got this to replace them. I haven't had the issues that a few other reviewers have talked about with it not working. I took it out of the box and plugged it in and it started charging the battery immediately. For the price it is well worth it because you can buy two or three of these for the price of others.

    The only problem that I have with it is that the cord is shorter than the origanal charger. I think it's a 8 foot cord instead of the original 10 foot cord.

    It's only 10 dollars so I guess you get what you pay for. Don't expect it too last. It will die.
