  • Summary: Does Not Work on All MACS!
  • Comment: I'm sure Snow Leopard is fantastic, but unfortunately I'll never know since it doesn't load on my computer. Oh sure I have an Apple Mac Computer, but after reading pages and pages of optimistic data on Snow Leopard what I failed to read, maybe it was there, maybe it wasn't, but Snow Leopard DOES NOT work in all Macintosh computers. I have a fairly new ibook G4, but apparently that's not considered an intel Mac, how many regular Joe Blow's know what that difference is. Apple Mac should've thought twice with their marketing campaign and at least put a sticker on the box that says, "DOES NOT WORK ON ALL MACS!" You were warned.

  • Comment: An outstanding upgrade for the Mac OS. Increases stability and speed. A steal for the price.

  • Summary: Not really clear what it does, but it seems to serve its purpose
  • Comment: I upgraded from regular old Leopard, and I must say, the difference wasn't particularly noticeable. The main benefit of Snow Leopard is an increased performance speed, which isn't really drastic by any means, but it's there. Beyond that, all software is similar to Leopard, save Quicktime, which has been expanded into a more versatile and powerful media player. On the whole, it's not a necessary or revolutionary upgrade, but it's slightly more stable and powerful than 10.5.

  • Summary: Went Back to Using Leopard
  • Comment: After spending over a month trying to resolve problems with my mac mail due to a gmail-snow leopard snafu, I lost days and hours trying to resolve the problem with both my ISP and Apple tech support. My mail problems became worse after Re-installing snow leopard with an apple tech help only to find more problems with SL. The last try with SL was after I downloaded the patch, it only caused even more mail problems. My solution: with an apple tech support, erased my mac so I could install Leopard, iWork 08, iLife, Intego Virus Barrier, and all the updates. My mac is working now without any headaches and I'm a very happy home mac user again.

I vowed that I will never install another apple program again without doing exhaustive research on it first. Read in many reviews that SL has become Apple's "Vista".

Due to my disability affecting my arms, it was important to put my mac back to how it works the easiest & best for me.

Don't let any apple tech support tell you that you can't go back to using Leopard if you want. You just have to do all the back ups with both time machine (I also backed my data/photos on discs) first and get directions from tech support while
erasing your mac and installing Leopard. Found some apple techs are better than others.

  • Comment: finally somebody stood up to Microsoft and started making real computers. i don't approve of everything mac does, but there are too many key features that this operating system has. it goes so fast! it plays video way better than windows. i'm laughing at windows because every time they try to make something it fails. the zune? windows vista? and now windows 7? the only thing i like windows for is office! and majic jack. but soon i'm going to put xp on my mac so i won't even need it anymore. keep going mac!
