  • Comment: This version of Photoshop works very well on my Mac. If you are familiar with Photoshop, then it will not surprise you. I had no difficulty registering the product. I was more than satisfied with an older verions , CS2, but since I bought a new iMac I needed to upgrade because CS2 will not run on an Intel-based Mac.

  • Comment: Needed costly update to CS4 for Canon Rebel T1i raw support. Update worked fine. Tools for opening, analyzing, and adjusting images have been improved. Has been used for astrophotography and birding so far with good results. This is the program that allows anyone with enough $dough$ (for program and suitable computer) to produce professional images.

  • Comment: What more can you say about Photoshop CS4 that hasn't already been said? It is the gold standard for image processing and it is, without a doubt, one of the 'deepest' commercially available applications ever written. What it is not is intuitive nor is it for the faint of heart. With your purchase, be prepared to spend another $300 - $500 or so for missing manuals, idiot's guides, shortcuts, magazine subscriptions, training DVDs, and bibles (yes sometimes prayer is in order). Also, if the new buyer aspires to master the application, they should be prepared to devote at least two years to learning all of the capabilities of the software. If you are not a professional, there are much cheaper and less complicated ways to go. However, if you're a professional and need the ultimate tools for your work, you get it!
